Whether you're tasting some of Sydney’s freshest seafood, having lunch at one of the restaurants, or taking a class at Australia’s leading seafood cooking schools, the Sydney Fish Market has plenty to offer.

The Sydney Fish Market is the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

Auctioning over 100 species daily and trading almost 13,000 tonnes of seafood each year, the Sydney Fish Market has been a popular attraction since they opened their doors in 1989.

In addition to selling some of Sydney’s freshest seafood, the Market also offers
a fresh food retail market, plenty of restaurants to chose from, not to mention
one of Australia’s leading seafood
cooking schools.

The Seafood School conducts a wide range of classes for all skill levels. Bookings are required for most classes.

For those who don’t mind rising early, the Market runs a morning tour providing fascinating insight into the Market and its operations. They run from Doyles Seafood Café at 6.55am every Monday and Thursday. Bookings not necessary.

The Market is located on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour in Blackwattle Bay in Pyrmont and is easily accessible with both light rail and bus stations near by.
